Eli had a fabulous weekend visiting Grandma & Grandpa and Papaw & Vicki. He had lots of new experiences at Papaw's house where he petted rabbits and dogs and looked at the goats and chickens. He is so interested in animals of all kinds. Now that he is "crawling" he has begun chasing our cat Seamus all over the house. Of course, Seamus doesn't even have to run to out run him, but the poor kitty looks at us in disbelief anyway. He cannot believe his ill luck.
On Sunday Eli attend church for the first time. He made it about half way through the service before he started helping the preacher preach a little too much so Chris took him outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Yesterday, we took Eli outside and grilled our supper. He loves to be outdoors, but he won't do his walrus crawl on the grass. This is good as he'd have grass stains on the belly of his clothes otherwise. Yet, he still has a burning desire to be able to see the world a little better. Chris was laying on the blanket with him when Eli grabs hold of Chris and pulls himself up so he can stand up and see things. This baby surely has a big helping of curiosity. Will it get him in trouble or make him successful? We don't know, but it is certainly a big adventure.

Eli is Mobile
Eli has been working on the crawl for a few days. As you can see, he is officially mobile. Time to revisit the baby-proofing!
On the other hand we can't lose him, since we can always follow the trail of drool he leaves behind.

Happy Easter!
Eli celebrated his 7-month birthday yesterday, but unfortunately he didn't do much celebrating because he's had a cold the past two days. Poor baby! He did pretty well, but needed a lot of lap time and nose wiping.
Today has been much better, however, which is good, since Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. They brought Eli his first Easter basket filled with his favorite foods (a carrot, an apple, and a banana) as well as a new friend. He enjoyed the carrot especially!
What's Up Doc?
