Beach Baby, Beach Baby, There on the Sand!

For our vacation this year, we went to Carolina Beach. This was Eli's first trip to the beach and it was a huge hit. The "shun" had a lot of "wa" in it and was such a fun place to play. There was even a "hoooose" to wash your feet off with and that was nearly as good as the "shun." Eli ran himself and us ragged. He was up early everyday and played until he was about to drop. I sure hope his schedule is back on track today.

A Day on the Farm

After a weekend of bad colds, we were all ready for a little fun on Memorial Day. We drove to my grandparents' farm and picnicked on "Grandaddy's Mountain." Eli had so much fun running around unfettered by streets, houses, property lines, etc.

Eli also got to meet his first cows up close and personal by visiting the dairy herd that a neighbor keeps on our farm. That bull sure was curious about us. Maybe he thought we had some feed...
