Time Out!

This is our garden.

These were beans before one of the several ground hogs-in-residence mowed through them.

Eli said the ground hog needed a time out and he should have to say 'sorry'.

I agree entirely.
Here is something much cuter than groundhogs....

Let me add one more thing before we call it quits with the groundhogs. I've had the song "Oh, Groundhog" in my head since we began doing battle with said creatures a few weeks ago. Check it out here and be sure to listen for the phrase "groundhog gravy all over her chin..." I'm not willing to go that far, but there are some groundhogs on my bad list!

Riding (and Walking) Through the Weekend

It was Wheels and Wagons time again on Saturday. Whoever thought this event up had a little boy because it has everything little boys love: diggers, fire trucks, police vehicles, tow trucks, buses, and this year even a helicopter that landed on site. Eli could hardly contain himself.

Ever painted a snow plow blade? Eli has!
This year we decorated Ezra's wagon and were going to ride them in the the wagon and bike parade. Ezra thought that was the worst idea ever (notice the unhappy face below), so Eli and I braved the rainy parade by ourselves. He won honorable mention for our Thomas the Tank Engine wagon, but he really could have cared less - the awards were too close to the bouncy house.
In other news, Ezra decided over the weekend to make walking his favored mode of transport. He still does his scoot-scoot quite a bit, but it is definitely on the way out.
