Our Work is Never Done

We've been talking about work a lot at our house. We're in a push to finally (after I'm not even going to say how many years) finish the rehab on our house. We've had workers of varying sorts in and out over the past couple of months and will continue to have them off and on for weeks more. The house is a mess. Chris and I are frazzled. The boys are in heaven.

The first night we went upstairs to get ready for bed and they found all the painter's ladders and tools in the hall....
Ezra (pointing excitedly): "Wow!"
Eli: "What's that?"
me: "It is the painter's tools."
Eli: "That's a lot of tools."
me: "It takes a lot of things to do his job."
Eli (contemplatively): "I want to be a painter when I get big."
Ezra (pointing excitedly and pulling on me): "Mommy, Mommy, Wow!"

That pretty much sums it up.

Ezra's been practicing so he'll be ready to go in business with Eli the painter. Maybe it will be Big E & Little E Carpentry and Paint.....
